Austria PPI Falls At Slower Rate In September

(RTTNews) - Austria's producer prices declined at a slower pace in September, preliminary figures from Statistics Austria showed Friday.

Producer prices fell 1.4 percent year-over-year in September, following a 1.7 percent decrease in the previous month. The measure has been falling since February 2013.

The annual decrease in September was mainly caused by the price declines in the fields of energy and intermediate goods.

At the same time, prices of both capital and consumer goods registered rises in September.

Month-on-month, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent in September, after remaining flat in the previous two months.
