Australia Home Loan Data Due On Wednesday
(RTTNews) - Australia will on Wednesday see January figures for new home loans, setting the pace for a light day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Loans are expected to add 3.0 percent on month after gaining 4.4 percent in December. Investment lending rose 2.3 percent, down from 2.8 percent in the previous month.
Australia also will see Match data for the consumer confidence index from Westpac Bank; in February, the index rose 2.3 percent to a score of 95.5.
New Zealand will release February numbers for credit card spending; in January, overall card spending was up 0.3 percent on month and retail spending was down 0.1 percent.
