UPP Bond 1 Issuer PLC -- Moody's assigns a provisional (P)Baa1 rating to UPP Bonds 1 Issuer PLC's New Index-Linked Bonds

London, 02 December 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") has today assigned a provisional long-term (P)Baa1 rating to approximately GBP150 million index-linked bonds (the "New Bonds") maturing in 2049 to be issued by UPP Bond 1 Issuer plc (the "Issuer"). Concurrently, Moody's has affirmed the Baa1 rating of the existing GBP382 million of fixed-rate and index-linked bonds issued by the Issuer in March 2013 (the "Initial Bonds"). Moody's notes that the rating of the Initial Bonds will not be impacted by the issuance of the New Bonds. The outlook on the ratings is stable.
