Springer SBM One GmbH -- Moody's places Springer One's B3 CFR under review for upgrade

London, 16 January 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has today placed the B3 corporate family rating (CFR) and B3-PD probability of default rating (PDR) for Springer SBM One GmbH under review for upgrade. The rating action follows Springer's announcement that BC Partners (BCP) and Holtzbrinck Publishing Group (Holtzbrinck; not rated) have reached an agreement to merge Springer Science+Business Media ('Springer'; owned by funds advised by BCP) in its entirety with the majority of Holtzbrinck-owned Macmillan Science and Education (MSE), namely Nature Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan and the global businesses of Macmillan Education.
