Moody's: UPS, FedEx could lift margins via higher-yielding customers as Amazon boosts in-house delivery capabilities
New York, May 23, 2016 -- Declining deliveries from Amazon likely will have little impact on the margins of UPS and FedEx, particularly if offset by increased volumes from other, higher-yielding customers, Moody's Investors Service says in a new report. While the two shipping companies will feel some pain from Amazon's plan to build a proprietary delivery function, the online retail giant is also among their least profitable customers.
