Moody's request comments on approach to rating resecuritizations
New York, December 17, 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service is seeking comments from market participants on proposed update to its rating approach for resecuritizations (Resec). Resec transactions typically consist of one or more underlying securities supporting one or more Resec tranches. The underlying security is pledged to a trust and the cash flows from the underlying security pass through to the newly created resec.
