Moody's: Paraguay's banking system outlook lowered to negative as problem loans rise
Sao Paulo, September 12, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has lowered its outlook on Paraguay's (Ba1 stable) banking system to negative from stable on the expectation that loan delinquencies are set to rise and banks' profitability will decline. The slump is being driven by an ongoing downturn in the agricultural industry, a key export sector, as well as a generally less exuberant economy.
