Moody's: No Change to Counterparty Rating of Nomura Derivative Products Inc. as a result of Revised Guarantee Program Structure

New York, May 16, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service has determined that amendments effective as of May 16, 2014 to the Nomura Derivative Products Inc.("NDPI") Moody's Operating Guidelines to put into effect certain updates to NDPI's existing guarantee program structure (the "Operating Guideline Amendments") will not in and of themselves and at this time result in the Moody's counterparty rating assigned to NDPI to be lowered or withdrawn. Moody's does not express an opinion as to whether the Operating Guideline Amendments could have non credit-related effects.
