New York, October 08, 2015 -- Casino competition in southeast Massachusetts is set to intensify, with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe proceeding with plans to build a $500 million casino on land in Taunton following the US Department of Interior's decision to take the land into trust, says Moody's Investors Service. The ruling allows the tribe to open a casino on the land with or without state approval.
