New York, April 05, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service has assigned a Aa1 long-term enhanced rating to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Metropolitan Highway System Revenue Bonds (Subordinated), Commonwealth Contract Assistance Secured, Variable Rate Demand Obligations 2010 Series A-2 (the Bonds) and affirmed the VMIG 1 short-term enhanced rating in conjunction with the substitution of the existing standby bond purchase agreement with a letter of credit (LOC) provided by Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen GZ (the Bank or Helaba). The substitution is scheduled to take place on April 5, 2016.
