Kansas City Southern -- Moody's assigns Baa3 ratings to Kansas City Southern's new notes

New York, November 09, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") assigned Baa3 ratings to the new senior unsecured notes that Kansas City Southern plans to issue pursuant to its exchange offers for all outstanding senior unsecured notes issued by its subsidiaries The Kansas City Southern Railway Company ("KCSR") and Kansas City Southern de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. ("KCSM"). Moody's also assigned a Baa3 rating to Kansas City Southern's new $800 million revolving credit facility. Concurrently, Moody's affirmed the Baa3 ratings of the notes issued by KCSR as well as KCSR's P-3 short-term rating. In addition, Moody's placed the ratings of the notes issued by KCSM and KCSM's short-term rating under review for upgrade. The outlook of the ratings of Kansas City Southern and KCSR is stable.
