Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. -- Moody's Says DFA's Settlement of Antitrust Lawsuit is Credit Positive; Ratings Unchanged

New York, January 23, 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service commented that the announcement of Dairy Farmers of America's settlement in the Eastern District Court of Tennessee is a credit positive as it reduces uncertainty around some of its pending litigation. The settlement was for approximately $140 million in addition to an $18.6 million commitment to effectively increase regional milk prices over the next two years by increasing Class 1 milk utilization in the region. DFA's ratings and outlook, however, remain unchanged as the impact is not sufficiently large to materially change its credit profile.
