Citizens Bank, N.A. -- Moody's assigns A3 rating to Citizens Bank N.A.'s senior debt

New York, December 01, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service assigned an A3 rating to Citizens Bank, N.A.'s new senior bank notes. The senior debt rating has a negative outlook. At the same time, Moody's also rated the bank note program (P)A3/(P)Prime-2 for senior obligations and (P)Baa1 for subordinated obligations. Citizens Bank, N.A. is a bank subsidiary of Citizens Financial Group, Inc., a non-rated intermediate holding company within the US organization structure of the Royal Bank of Scotland plc (BFSR/BCA D+/ba1, LT Deposits Baa1).
