Boise Cascade Company -- Moody's: Boise Cascade's Acquisition of Plywood Plants is Credit Positive
Toronto, July 25, 2013 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") commented that Boise Cascade Company's (Boise Cascade, B1 stable) recent announcement that it will acquire 2 plywood plants from Wood Resources (unrated) for $102 million is credit positive. The acquisition expands Boise Cascade's manufacturing footprint in the US southeast, a region that benefits from low fiber costs. Boise Cascade's B1 Corporate Family Rating, B1-PD Probability of Default rating, SGL-2 Speculative Grade Liquidity rating and stable outlook will remain unchanged.
