BHP Billiton Plc -- Moody's: BHP Billiton's fiscal 2016 performance in-line with expectations; ratings unaffected
Sydney, August 17, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service says BHP Billiton Limited's (A3 negative) reported results for the year ended 30 June 2016 (fiscal 2016) are in line with the rating agency's expectations given lower commodity prices, particularly for iron ore and oil. As such, the results have no immediate impact on the ratings of the BHP Billiton entities, including the A3 issuer ratings and P-2 short term commercial paper ratings of BHP Billiton Limited and BHP Billiton Plc. The rating outlook remains negative.
