Alaska (State of) -- Moody's: Alaska has credit edge over North Dakota despite declining oil output

New York, October 06, 2014 -- Despite declining oil production, Alaska still edges out booming North Dakota in credit quality because of its prodigious fiscal reserves and North Dakota's ownership of a largely unregulated bank, says Moody's Investors Service in the report "Alaska and North Dakota: Peer Comparison." Moody's gives Alaska its highest rating at Aaa stable, with North Dakota one notch lower at Aa1 stable.
