Four into One: HartEnergy.com Combines Energy News and Data in Single, Unified Resource for Professionals and Investors

HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to subscriber requests for a simplified user experience, Houston-based Hart Energy has combined four crude oil- and natural gas-related news and data web sites into a single, unified site with a global, source-agnostic perspective toward its energy content.

For more than 40 years, Hart Energy editors and experts have delivered market-leading insights to investors and energy industry professionals. (PRNewsFoto/Hart Energy)

Sites that were formerly known as OilandGasInvestor.com, EPmag.com, MidstreamBusiness.com and UGCenter.com have been merged into the all-new HartEnergy.com. The newly unified site provides a consolidated online information resource for professionals in petroleum, investments and other energy-related fields with responsive formatting for mobile devices and improved navigation and search functions.

A single log-in replaces four separate log-ins to streamline access for the company's corporate and group subscribers. (Corporate site licenses and group subscriptions represent a significant and growing portion of Hart Energy's online audience.)

The new site also employs a "soft paywall" to separate free energy news coverage available to search traffic and all others with simple registration. More in-depth features, data and analysis lie beyond the paywall for subscriber-only access. The new HartEnergy.com also features an artificial intelligence engine to surface content recommendations based on reader behavior and interest.

Aside from its EPmag.com global technology media platform, the four former sites tended to focus on North American oil and gas resource development. Now Hart Energy editors and its contributor network are providing worldwide coverage across a wider range of energy topics, notably including biofuels and other renewable energy sources with further expansions planned.

The scope of content on the site today has been broadened to include:

  • Markets
  • Business
  • Technology
  • Exploration & Production
  • Transactions
  • Policy & Regulation
  • Transport (midstream operations)
  • Shale (unconventional resources)
  • Renewables
  • Publications
  • Video

Coincident with the new HartEnergy.com, the company revamped its lineup of free digital newsletters, with two dailies ("Morning Rush" and "Daily Wrap"), the "Hart Energy Breaking News" bulletin service and six weeklies on energy business news ("Energy Pulse"), technologies ("Tech Direct"), asset transactions ("A&D Watch"), exploration and production activity ("E&P Buzz"), energy transportation ("Midstream and Transport Monitor") and unconventional resource development ("Hart Energy Shale Weekly").

The newsletters and consolidated web site support Hart Energy's IndustryVoice® content marketing programs. They also offer advertisers horizontal and vertical targeting options that leverage the unique demographics of Hart Energy audiences and allow campaigns across multiple industry segments.
