Zillow Names Kathleen Philips COO

(RTTNews) - Zillow, Inc. (Z) said Friday that it has appointed Kathleen Philips, who has served as general counsel since joining the company in 2010, as chief operating officer.

Philips played an instrumental role in the company's 2011 initial public offering, and has assumed increasing responsibility beyond the legal department to include human resources and customer service. She also oversees the company's M&A activities, including six acquisitions in less than two years. In addition to her company-wide responsibilities, Philips heads Zillow's new and growing San Francisco office, which is home to more than 65 employees.

Prior to joining Zillow, Philips was general counsel at FanSnap, Inc., a venture capital-backed ticket search engine.
