Zealandia Hosts Art Show Fundraiser for Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation

ASHEVILLE, N.C., Nov. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Zealandia Castle, located on Beaucatcher Mountain overlooking downtown Asheville, once again played host to a fundraising event, this time a gala and art show with more than $40,000 in sales throughout the weekend of Oct. 26-28. The event, titled Of Valley & Ridge: A Scenic Journey Through the Blue Ridge Parkway, and put on by the Saints of Paint and Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, featured works of art inspired by the Blue Ridge Parkway and created by more than 30 fine artists of Western North Carolina. The Saints of Paint generously donated a portion of proceeds from art sales to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.

During the opening night gala on Friday, guests warmed themselves by the glowing fireplaces and enjoyed live jazz by HotPoint Trio, delicious hors d'oeuvres by Budy Finch Catering & Revelry, and beverages from New Belgium Brewing and Biltmore Wines while admiring the paintings, etchings, and more.
