Yum! Brands Q4 Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $321 million or $0.70 per share, compared to $337 million or $0.72 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding special items, adjusted earnings for the fourth quarter were $0.86 per share, compared to $0.83 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total revenue for the fourth quarter grew 1% to $4.18 billion from $4.15 billion in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.80 per share on revenue of $4.26 billion for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company reaffirmed its full year guidance of at least 20% EPS growth in 2014.
