Youku Tudou Q2 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Youku Tudou Inc. (YOKU) Thursday said second-quarter loss narrowed to 105.1 million Chinese yuan, or $17.1 million, from 176.3 million yuan or $28.7 million in the same period last year.

On a per-share basis, loss narrowed to 0.04 yuan, or from 0.06 yuan last year. Net loss per ADS for the quarter was 1.42 yuan, compared to 1.09 yuan last year. Adjusted loss for the quarter was 44.6 million yuan, or $7.3 million. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.74 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Revenues totaled 753.5 million yuan, or $122.8 million, up 30 percent from 578.31 million yuan last year. Analysts expected revenues of $752.71 million yuan.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company has forecast revenues in the range of 830 million yuan to 870 million yuan. Analysts currently expect third-quarter revenues of 853.97 million yuan.
