WPP's Operating Company Buys Majority Stake In Verticurl - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - WPP Plc's (WPP.L, WPPGY) wholly owned operating company, OgilvyOne, the customer engagement unit of Ogilvy & Mather Group, reported acquiring a majority shareholding in Verticurl, a demand generation and marketing automation services firm.

Headquartered in Singapore, and founded in 2006, Verticurl employs over 160 people working across offices in Japan, China, Australia, Korea, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Germany, the U.S. and Canada. As at year ended March 31, 2013, Verticurl's unaudited revenues were S$5.9 million, with gross assets of S$2.8 million.

WPP's businesses in the Asia Pacific region currently generate $5 billion revenues, including associates, and employ nearly 47,000 people, contributing to Group revenues globally of $16.5 billion and employees of over 165,000.
