Wipro Q4 Profit Edges Up, Revenues Rise - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - India-based software services company Wipro Ltd. (WIT) reported Tuesday that its fourth-quarter net income attributable to equity holders was 22.61 billion Indian rupees or $349 million, an increase of 1% from last year's 22.38 billion rupees.

Earnings per share were 9.32 rupees or $0.14, higher than 9.09 rupees last year.

Gross revenues were 139.88 billion rupees or $2.2 billion, an increase of 2.6% from 136.32 billion rupees a year ago.

Non-GAAP constant currency IT Services Segment Revenue in dollar terms grew 5.2% from last year. IT Services Segment Revenue was $1.95 billion, an increase of 3.9%.

IT Services segment revenue in Rupee terms grew 4.7%.

Looking ahead, for the first quarter, the company expects Revenues from IT Services business to be in the range of $1.915 billion to $1.955 billion.

Further, the company said its Board of Directors recommends issue of bonus shares to shareholders, including to ADS holders, in the ratio of one equity share for every one equity share held as on the record date to be decided, subject to approval of shareholders through postal ballot.

The Board will consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares of the Company around July 2017.
