Westmoreland Announces Brian Blackman Joins the Company as Director of Investor Relations

Westmoreland Coal Company (NasdaqGM: WLB) today announced that Brian Blackman has joined the company as Director, Investor Relations. Blackman is a seasoned executive with more than a decade of experience in investor relations. Blackman will be responsible for investor communications, coordination of investor marketing and will serve as Westmoreland’s investor, analyst and financial press liaison.

Blackman most recently served as Vice President of Investor Relations for Molycorp, Inc., a global rare earth mining and advanced materials processor from 2011 to 2015. Blackman was also the Managing Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Development at Ascent Solar Technologies, and has also acted as a consultant to a number of other publicly traded companies in establishing their investor relations programs.
