Weingarten Realty Investors Announces 8% Increase In Q2 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Weingarten Realty Investors (WRI) reported a profit for its second quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $73.58 million, or $0.57 per share. This was up from $68.28 million, or $0.54 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.56 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.0% to $135.68 million. This was up from $126.80 million last year.
