Waste Management Inc Q4 Earnings Climb 4%

(RTTNews) - Waste Management Inc (WM) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $320 million, or $0.71 per share. This was higher than $308 million, or $0.67 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.68 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.5% to $3.25 billion. This was down from $3.44 billion last year.
