Vishay Precision Q1 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG), a producer of precision sensors and systems based on its resistive foil technology, Wednesday posted first-quarter net earnings attributable to VPG stockholders of $1.7 million or $0.12 per share versus $0.4 million or $0.03 per share last year. The current quarter results included nearly $0.4 million of acquisition-related and restructuring costs, versus $2.1 million last year.On an adjusted basis, earnings were $2.0 million or $0.14 per share. The company's net revenues for the quarter rose 6.2 percent to $61.0 million from $57.5 million last year. Looking ahead, the firm expects net revenues in the range of $60 million to $65 million for the second quarter of 2014.
