    DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 2005--Texas Capital Bank announced today that Ed Fjordbak has joined the bank's Private Client and Trust Group as Senior Vice President. In that capacity, he will work with individuals, family offices, professional advisors and businesses.
    Mr. Fjordbak recently retired from The Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) after 32 years of service including 16 years as president. CFT is one of the largest community foundations in the United States with over 750 donor-advised and designated funds and special expertise in complex gifts and creative grantmaking. Since 1953 CFT has granted more than $660 million in charitable grants and currently manages assets of more than $650 million.
    "As a Board member of the Communities Foundation of Texas, I have had the pleasure of working with Ed and have great respect for his vast experience with estate planning, wealth management, and his deep ties to the community," said Jody Grant, Chairman of Texas Capital Bank.     In addition to his role at The Communities Foundation and its subsidiaries, Mr. Fjordbak also served on the Boards of the Ray L. and Nancy Ann Hunt Foundation, The Ruth Foundation and the Robert and Nancy Dedman Foundation. Additionally, he is involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations including: The Center for Nonprofit Management, Crystal Charity Ball, Dallas Estate Planning Council, TACA, World Affairs Council, SPCA of Texas, and Leadership Dallas Alumni Association. He is also a member of The Tower Club, Highland Park Presbyterian Church and the Rotary Club of Park Cities.
    An accomplished scholar, Mr. Fjordbak earned his law degree, master's degree and bachelor's degree from SMU. A Dallas native, he and his wife also enjoy spending time at their home in Santa Fe.
