Vectren Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Vectren Corporation (VVC) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $47.3 million or $0.57 per share, up from $42.8 million or $0.52 per share last year.

Total operating revenues rose to $595.6 million from $579.6 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.58 on revenues of $529.24 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items

The company lifted its full-year earnings outlook to $2.40 to $2.55 per share from prior forecast of $2.25 to $2.35 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $2.28 per share for the year.

The company also raised it dividend by 5.6 percent to $0.38 per share.
