UCP Posts Profit In Q4

(RTTNews) - UCP Inc. (UCP) Monday announced fourth quarter profit attributable to shareholders of $3.240 million compared to a net loss of $2.010 million last year. On a per share basis, earnings was $0.40 compared to loss of $0.25 in the prior year.

On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.10 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter surged to $106.87 million from $46.87 million in the previous year. Homebuilding revenue doubled to $88.892 million from $44.88 million in the previous year, reflecting 70.2 percent growth in homes delivered. The company also recorded one time land development revenue of $17.98 million. Wall Street expected $79.39 million.
