U.S. Cellular Q3 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - United States Cellular Corp. (USM) reported that its third-quarter net loss to shareholders widened to $22.17 million or $0.26 per share, from a loss of $9.86 million or $0.12 per share, last year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss per share of $0.27 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total operating revenues were $1.00 billion, compared to $939.24 million, a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $979.83 million for the quarter.

The company continues to expect total operating revenues of $3.90 billion to $4.00 billion in 2014. Adjusted income before income taxes are now expected to be in the range of $375 million to $450 million, compared to a prior guidance range of $350 million to $450 million. Analysts expect the company to report 2014 revenue of $3.87 billion.
