Twitter Officially Shutting Down Vine

(RTTNews) - Twitter (TWTR) will officially shut down Vine, the six-second video service, on Tuesday. Vine will be replaced by Vine Camera, an app that shoots six second clips.

Vine Camera, the next version of Vine, allows users to capture a six-second looping videos, however, it will be only accessible through camera roll or on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the Vine website will continue as an archive for the millions of videos uploaded by users since its launch in 2013. Twitter had announced its decision to discontinue Vine in October 2016. Twitter has asked Vine users to download their currently archived Vines while they still can.
