TSX Flat Up At Open Tuesday

(RTTNews) - Bay Street stocks opened marginally lower Tuesday amid buying in commodities, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index easing 8.58 points or 0.07 percent to 12,519.77.

In the oil patch, Imperial Oil (IMO.TO) and Baytex Energy Corp. (BTE.TO) were up around 1 percent each

Among financial stocks, CIBC (CM.TO) and TD Bank (TD.TO) were up around 0.50 percent each.

The Diversified Materials Index moved up nearly 1 percent, with Teck Resources (TCK_B.TO) gaining about 2 percent.

Advanced optoelectronic devices company Zecotek Photonics (ZMS.V) rose over 5 percent after announcing that its wholly owned subsidiary Zecotek Imaging Systems Pte. Ltd. has signed a joint collaboration partnership agreement with Hamamatsu Photonics of Japan.
