TSX Flat At Open Monday

(RTTNews) - Bay Street stocks were little changed at open Monday as gauges of most sectors stuck in the mud, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index slipping 3.37 points or 0.02 percent to 13,545.50.

In the oil patch, Paramount Resources (POU.TO) and Imperial Oil (IMO.TO) were down about 1 percent each.

Among financial stocks, Scotiabank (BNS.TO) and CIBC (CM.TO) were down nearly 1 percent each.

In the gold space, Detour Gold (DGC.TO) jumped close to 8 percent, while Barrick Gold (ABX.TO) adding nearly 2 percent.

WestJet (WJA.TO) edged up 0.20 percent after it said its December 2013 traffic grew 7.2 percent year-on-year, with capacity rising 7.4 percent.
