TSMC Q3 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSM) Thursday reported a higher net income for the third-quarter, with increase in revenues.

For the three-month period, the company reported net income of NT$51.9 billion, compared with NT$49.3 billion last year. On a per share basis, earnings were NT$2 per share, compared with NT$1.90 per share a year ago.

Quarterly revenues increased to NT$162.5 billion, from prior year's NT$141.4 billion.

Looking forward, the company said it anticipates fourth-quarter revenues to be in the range of NT$144 billion - NT$147 billion and that it expects the forth coming quarter to be impacted by softer demand for certain high-end mobile devices and the inventory correction resulting from such softer demand.
