TripAdvisor Q3 Profit Decreases; Revenue Up 39% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - TripAdvisor Inc. (TRIP), the world's largest travel website, reported that its third-quarter net income decreased to $54 million or $0.37 per share from $56 million or $0.38 per share, last year. Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter of 2014 was $119 million, compared to $104 million, a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $71 million or $0.48 per share, for the quarter.

On average, 26 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.60 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue increased to $354 million from $255 million, a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $348.81 million for the quarter.
