TRC Awarded Substation Engineering Contract By FirstEnergy - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - TRC Companies, Inc. (TRR) Wednesday said it was recently awarded more than $3.3 million in transmission and substation infrastructure improvement projects by utility company FirstEnergy Corp. (FE).

As a primary supplier of substation engineering services for FirstEnergy's "Energizing the Future" initiative, TRC will design improvements to existing infrastructure at 69, 138 and 345 kV substations in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania during the initial phase of the program.

Through "Energizing the Future," FirstEnergy will invest more than $2.8 billion in transmission system upgrades over the next four years.
