Time Warner Names Doug Shapiro SVP, International, Corporate Strategy

(RTTNews) - Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) Chief Financial & Administrative Officer John Martin and Executive Vice President, International and Corporate Strategy Olaf Olafsson said that Doug Shapiro, who has served as Time Warner's Senior Vice President, Investor Relations since 2008, has been appointed as Senior Vice President, International and Corporate Strategy.

The company said Shapiro succeeds Michael Del Nin, who resigned to become Co-Chief Executive Officer of Central European Media Enterprises.

Michael Kopelman, currently Time Warner's Vice President, Investor Relations, succeeds Shapiro as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, the company added.

In making the announcement about Shapiro, Olafsson said: "Doug has done an outstanding job leading Time Warner's investor relations efforts, and has already played a significant role in many of our company's strategic initiatives. He brings to his new position a deep understanding of the business, financial, and technological issues and opportunities for both our company and our industry. I know he'll make important contributions to Time Warner in his new position."
