Time Warner Cable Participates in Three Important Diversity Fairs

As part of Time Warner Cable’s commitment to attract, develop and retain the best talent from various backgrounds, the company took part in career fairs by two of the country’s most recognized diversity organizations: the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and National Council of La Raza (NCLR). The career fairs were a part of both organizations’ National conferences.

The NCLR Career Fair was held in San Antonio on July 12 while the NAACP Career Fair took place in Kansas City on July 13 and 14. Attendees to the Time Warner Cable booth learned about the company, its mission and services. Both fairs provide a unique platform for information about a broad range of organizations and important issues such as business, government, and civil rights.

"This was a great opportunity for job-seekers to showcase their skills and talent in today’s highly competitive marketplace,” said Rahman Khan, Time Warner Cable Diversity Recruiting Strategy Leader. "Throughout the years, we’ve recruited and hired hundreds of people at job fairs throughout the country,” concluded Khan.

In addition, Time Warner Cable is currently participating at the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council "Access to Capital" Conference in Washington, D.C. The eighth annual "Access to Capital” conference is being held at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel on July 19 and July 20. The Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving equal opportunity and civil rights in the mass media and telecommunications industries.
