Thomas Ramdahl appointed Managing Director of Algeta ASA

March 14th, Oslo - The Bayer Group has completed the voluntary takeover offer for Norwegian pharmaceutical company Algeta ASA. Leadership of Algeta ASA will now pass to Thomas Ramdahl, who until now worked as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Algeta.

Dr. Ramdahl succeeds Algeta's former CEO Andrew Kay.

Thomas Ramdahl has been with Algeta in various leadership roles since 2001, including serving as the CEO until 2009. "We formed our first partnership with Bayer in 2009, and since then we have developed our lead product Xofigo together. It's exciting to now work as a united company, and I am really looking forward to the times ahead" commented Dr. Ramdahl.

Thomas Ramdahl reports to Oliver Rittgen, the CEO of Bayer Nordic and the Chairman of the Board at Algeta ASA.
