Theravance Q2 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - Theravance, Inc. (THRX) reported a net loss for the second quarter of $63.6 million or $0.57 per share, compared to a net loss of $36.4 million or $0.37 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Loss from continuing operations for the second quarter was $20.2 million or $0.18 per share, compared to loss from continuing operations of $1.5 million or $0.02 per share in the prior year quarter.

Total net revenue for the second quarter fell to $0.93 million from $1.32 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.44 per share on revenue of $4.39 million for the second quarter.
