The Salvation Army Continues to Serve Communities Affected by Tornados

OTTAWA, Sept. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - The Salvation Army continues to serve those affected by Friday's tornadoes in Dunrobin and in the Arlington Woods and Craig Henry neighbourhoods. Our Emergency Disaster Services teams have been focusing their efforts on feeding those whose homes were affected the most, as well as emergency responders and hydro workers.  Over the weekend Salvation Army teams were also present in the Barrhaven neighborhood along with a number of other businesses and organizations to offer hot meals to those without power.

"We are so thankful for the community's outpouring of support including donating their time, donating food and supplies as well as fundraising for those in need," said Glenn van Gulik, Spokesperson for The Salvation Army. "The Salvation Army will continue to give hope in the days and weeks ahead after Friday's disaster."
