The Benefits Roundtable Announces Partnership with Comprehensive Health Services, Inc.
The Corporate Executive Board’s Benefits Roundtable, a leading network of senior benefits executives, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHS), the nation’s largest independent workforce health company. CHS clients will now have access to the Benefits Roundtable’s popular Health Risk Assessment service (HRA). As a direct result of CHS’ two-year investment in a powerful technology platform for electronic medical record (EMR) and enterprise practice management (EPM), a bidirectional interface will allow fully integrated biometric information collected at CHS-operated health centers to be uploaded directly into the HRA service. The results of the risk assessment will then be stored in the patient’s electronic medical record at the CHS health center, enabling comprehensive reporting and tracking of population health risks, such as inadequate exercise, that lead to chronic health conditions and higher costs for employers who provide medical plan benefits.
"A comprehensive HRA is an important component of the onsite health programs we conduct for large employers nationwide,” said Beth Ratliff, Senior Director of Operations for CHS. "We are deeply committed to designing the most efficient and effective health improvement programs while maximizing employers’ investment in employee health. That process begins with a thorough health assessment supported by a robust technology platform. We chose to work with the Benefits Roundtable as our HRA partner for its like-minded commitment to boost employee health by changing behavior and its analytical approach to measuring results.”
The Benefits Roundtable’s HRA service is an online, survey-based tool that collects information on health risks and behaviors within employee populations to help employers target wellness resources where they will have the greatest impact on improving health status and lowering health care costs. It was developed by input from senior benefits executives regarding needs that could not be satisfied by other available assessments. The HRA offer organizations a highly flexible health risk assessment that captures employee health risk information, employee attitudes about their work and employer, the relationship between health and not being able to come to work or concentrating at work and whether they are ready to adopt healthier behaviors.
Organizations can customize the HRA to meet their needs. For example, organizations can include links to health education resources and wellness programs in the individual health report that employees and spouses receive upon completing the assessment.
The Benefits Roundtable’s HRA analytics and reporting solutions offer organizations a comprehensive picture of health risk incidence and severity. The HRA also allows them to benchmark against other organizations and target wellness investments for the greatest impact— improving employee health and lowering health care costs. In addition, the Roundtable relies on its employee behavior database to provide clients with customized participation plans, yielding, on average, a three-fold increase in employee participation in the HRA relative to previous experiences with another HRA product
