The Bank of New York Appointed as Trustee by Banco Industrial, S.A. Guatemala for First Diversified Payment Rights Transaction

The Bank of New York, a global leader in securitiesservicing, has been appointed by Banco Industrial, S.A., to provideindenture trustee, registrar and paying agent services for its debutdiversified payment rights transaction. The $125 million Floating RateNotes Series 2005-1 and $75 million Floating Rate Notes Series 2005-2are Banco Industrial's first issuance of securities backed by U.S.dollar remittances generated from within Guatemala.

Luis Prado, international division manager at Banco IndustrialS.A., said, "We appointed The Bank of New York as trustee because oftheir vast experience and in-depth knowledge of this type oftransaction, as well as their long-standing position as one of ourcorrespondent banks."
