Tenet Awards Scholarships to Children of Employees of Its California Region
Tenet Healthcare Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Tenet
Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC), and Tenet California announced today
that they have awarded $55,500 in one-year college scholarships to 30
children of hospital and regional employees in the Tenet California
Region, which includes Nebraska. The Children of Tenet Employees
Scholarship Program is designed to assist children of Tenet employees
pursue higher education.

acknowledgement of all that these students have already accomplished.

achievement.”
This year, the Tenet Healthcare Foundation awarded $264,000 through the
Children of Tenet Employees Scholarship program to 125 deserving
children of Tenet employees across the country.
These scholarships are awarded each year for full-time undergraduate
study at any accredited two- or four-year college, university or
vocational-technical school. Winners are chosen based on academic
record, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community
activities, honors, work experience, goals and aspirations stated on the
application, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside
appraisal.
The program is administered for Tenet by Scholarship Management
Services, a department of Scholarship America in compliance with state
and federal guidelines regulating scholarship awards by corporate
foundations.
Tenet California, a region of Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC),

approximately 3,424 beds and numerous related health care services. The
