Tellabs Q2 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Tellabs Inc. (TLAB) Thursday said second-quarter loss widened to $7.8 million or $0.02 per share from $4.7 million or $0.01 per share in the same period last year.

On an adjusted basis, earnings per share were breakeven. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues decreased to $212.1 million from $288.1 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $210.34 million.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company has forecast revenues in the range of $200 million to $220 million. Analysts currently expect third-quarter revenues of $216.60 million.
