Tea-son's Greetings!; Snapple Boosts Holiday Spirits and Metabolisms With a Green Tea Tree in Columbus Circle

RYE BROOK, N.Y., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Snapple gave away Green Tea and more today, providing exhausted holiday shoppers with a quick, refreshing boost -- to their metabolisms and holiday spirits. Pop-culture icon and reality television celebrity, Wendy "The Snapple Lady" was on hand at the "Snapple Holiday Rejuvenation Location" in the Holiday Market at Columbus Circle to spread her holiday cheer. Passers-by enjoyed Snapple's newest line of "good for you" teas -- Green, Red, and White Tea. New Yorkers were also the first in the nation to sample Snapple's new Blue-berry Tea.

At noon, New Yorkers returned the favor by giving Wendy a "boost" of her own, as they hoisted her high into the air to put the finishing touches on a Snapple Green Tea Tree comprised of Snapple Green Tea bottles. From 10am to 5pm, stoppers-by were also being treated to free back massages from a professional team of holiday masseuses.

"We're dedicated to giving New Yorkers and tourists an extra boost this holiday season with our new Snapple Green Teas and rejuvenating back massages," said Bryan Mazur, VP of Marketing for Snapple. "The holiday season can get quite hectic so sometimes we all need a pick-me-up to keep us going."

As part of a line of new products that support a "good for you" platform, Snapple has introduced White, Green and Red Teas. Snapple is the leader in the super premium tea category, which is currently the fastest growing tea segment. Snapple's newest super premium introduction is a Red Tea, which contributes to a healthy immune system, and is available in Acai Mixed Berry, Mandarin Tangerine and Peach Pomegranate.

Snapple also added a White Tea and Green Tea to the line of super premium teas. Snapple Green Teas are packed with 55 mg of EGCG per bottle and are authentic, all natural teas made with real sugar -- but less of it -- making them more refreshing, while maintaining a natural, healthy goodness. Studies of green tea consumption indicate that consuming 300mg of EGCG throughout the day boosts metabolism. Snapple Green Teas are available in regular and diet Original, Mango and Asian Pear flavors at a suggested retail price of $1.39. To learn more about Snapple visit http://www.snapple.com/ .
