TALX Clarifies Dividend Announcement

LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2005--TALX Corporation (NASDAQ:TALX), a leading business process outsourcer of payroll data-centric services, today clarified last Friday's news release announcing that its board of directors had approved a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share, payable on April 8, 2005 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 18, 2005.
    The dividend reflects the company's previously-announced 3-for-2 stock split to be effected in the form of a 50 percent stock dividend, payable February 17 to stockholders of record on January 20. The dividend had been $0.06 per share on a pre-split basis.
