Synaptics Inc Earnings Rise 9% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Synaptics Inc (SYNA) announced a profit for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $60.3 million, or $1.60 per share. This was up from $55.5 million, or $1.46 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.5% to $470.5 million. This was up from $463.7 million last year.
