SurModics Board Chair Robert Buhrmaster To Step Down, Effective Feb. 2014

(RTTNews) - SurModics, Inc.(SRDX), Friday said its Board Chair Robert Buhrmaster is retiring at the conclusion of the Company's 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held in February next year. Buhrmaster will be succeeded by current Board member Scott Ward, who will assume the chairmanship. The company said it intends to fill the vacancy in due course.

Ward, has been a Director of SurModics since 2010, and is a Managing Director at SightLine Partners and the Founder of Raymond Holdings. Ward's career spans to more than over 30 years in the healthcare industry, including 15 years as a senior operating business leader.
